The CPE3A session of our second week of Software Design and Engineering was enlightening for us. This week’s classes focused on the significance of comprehending the entire range of our future duties as we set out to become skilled Software Engineers. It involves accepting the obligations that come with developing software that affects actual people's lives rather than just learning how to code or apply algorithms.

We discovered that a software engineer's responsibilities extend beyond their technical expertise. It entails abiding by values including assuring code quality, fixing problems quickly, and upholding moral standards all along the development process. We talked on the value of teamwork and communication as well as the necessity of lifelong learning to stay current with the rapidly changing technology landscape.

The talks and exercises this week forced us to consider our decisions carefully as aspiring engineers. We looked at striking a balance between creativity and pragmatism and how software design principles may help us create solutions that are reliable, expandable, and easy to use.




The week session of our second meeting of Software Design and Engineering was incredibly interesting and productive for us. We thoroughly examined the responsibilities and tenets of software engineering before putting what we had learned into practice with a lighthearted group exercise. The exercise emphasized the value of teamwork in software development while also reinforcing our comprehension of the subject. The team's excellent cooperation made the exercise both entertaining and educational.

After that, we were given our first activity for our app development, which started a hands-on process to further hone our abilities and skills in manuscript. There were so many incredible moments this week, from lively debates to hands-on training that will help us develop as future software engineers.

A Semester Full of Surprises

WEEK 18 - Exemption, Expectations, and Endless Debugging!  Looking back on this semester, it’s been a journey filled with highs and lows, moments of pure joy and excitement mixed with overwhelming stress and a touch of fear. Each of us experienced a whirlwind of emotions, sometimes all at once, as we navigated through the challenges of Software Design and Engineering. Starting from scratch in this subject, I’ve learned so much that I didn’t think was possible. None of this, though, would have been possible without Sir Carl one of the most amazing instructors in the Computer Engineering Department at USTP CDO. We’re all incredibly thankful for the opportunity to learn from him. WEEK 16 - Opportunities, Risks, and the Big Data Adventure  You might think it sounds like a boring, techy topic, but trust me, it was anything but that! Instead of a typical quiz, we found ourselves getting lost in a sea of data, trying to figure out how companies know exactly what we like and how they manage to suggest just the right products at the right time. It's like they can read our minds, but in a much more mathematical way! Sir Carl took us on an adventure into the world of data patterns, explaining how large sets of information can be mined for insights that help shape industries today. As I sat there, I couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. How does all this work? How do companies know me so well? It was like a detective story unfolding before my eyes. After the discussion, it was time to roll up our sleeves and dive into an activity. We were given a scenario and tasked with answering 10 questions.
